BUET Admission Application Eligibility
There are certain eligibility and conditions for admission to BUET. Candidates who fail to fulfill all these conditions cannot apply for admission. The eligibility criteria mentioned by the BUET authorities in their admission circular are nicely presented below.
Candidate must have passed Secondary School Certificate/Equivalent Examination with at least a GPA of 4.00 on a scale of 5.00 in the science department (including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) from any Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board/Madrasa Education Board/Technical Education Board in Bangladesh.
And must have done or passed an equivalent examination from a Foreign Board of Education with at least an equivalent grade.
Candidate must have at least a GPA of 5.00 on a scale of 5.00 with three subjects, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, from any Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board/Madrasa Education Board/Technical Education Board in Bangladesh and passed in Secondary/Equivalent Examination with a minimum 270 out of 300 marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in three subjects or Passed with at least equivalent grade/marks in the equivalent examination from Foreign Education Board.
Candidates who have passed the SSC or equivalent examination in 2017 and Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination in 2019 but whose revised results in Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination have been published by the Board of Education after 10 September 2019.
In that case, they should have passed the Higher Secondary/Alim/equivalent examination with a minimum of 480 marks out of 600 marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education/Madrasa Education Board/Board of Technical Education or equivalent from foreign Board of Education. Must pass the examination with at least equivalent grades/marks.
