To initiate the ownership transfer, you must visit your nearest GP Customer Care Center or authorized GP retailer, or you can also easily transfer it online. The online process is discussed below.
Required Documents To Transfer Ownership For GP SIM
Several documents must be mentioned to change the ownership of GP SIM from one person to another. All these documents are mentioned below.
- Current owner’s NID card, address, and mobile number
- NID card, mobile number, and address of the person whose name will be transferred
Also, some other documents may be required for identity verification which will be intimated to customer care or at the time of online transfer.
GP SIM Ownership Transfer Process Online
Ownership of GP SIM can be changed from the official website of Grameenphone. The rules for changing ownership of GP SIM are given below:
- Visit Transfer Of SIM Ownership.
- Then enter the number you want to transfer in the Number you want to transfer box.
- Then enter the NID number of the current SIM owner in the Current SIM Owner’s NID or Smart Card Number box
- Then enter the mobile number of the new SIM owner in the New SIM Owner’s Mobile Number box
- Then tap on Add to Cart option below
- Now you will see the checkout page where you provide your email address, delivery address, etc
- Finally, click on Continue to Review
- Now complete the process by paying the delivery fee through mobile banking or card banking for SIM delivery
The SIM will be delivered to your given address within a few days. Note that here you don’t have to pay any fee for changing ownership of SIM.
The fee being charged is the delivery fee that will be used to ship the SIM home. The existing SIM owner and the new owner must attend to the delivery address and complete the biometric verification.
If the Grameenphone SIM user dies, the deceased will need the NID of the new owner, the NID of the deceased, the death certificate, and the inheritance certificate to change ownership of the Grameenphone SIM.
A commitment form must also be signed at Grameenphone Experience and Grameenphone Centres.

Banglalink SIM Ownership Transfer Process
As discussed above, GP SIM. Now let’s know what is required to transfer Banglalink SIM. Like GP SIM, Banglalink SIM does not provide any online ownership transfer facility.
This cannot be done online. Tossa transfers the ownership of Banglalink SIM; the current owner and the person whose name the transfer is to be made should go to Banglalink Customer Care.
Go there and inform the customer care officer about this matter. There they will transfer ownership with the necessary documents.
If the Banglalink SIM owner dies, let’s look at how to change the ownership of the Banglalink SIM. To change the SIM ownership of the deceased, you need to visit the Banglalink office with the National ID card of the deceased, the National ID card of the heir, the deceased’s death certificate, and the heir’s certificate.
Documents Required To Transfer Banglalink SIM Ownership
No such documents will be required to transfer the ownership of Banglalink SIM. Only the current owner and the person in whose name the transfer is to be carried should carry the National Identity Card. Also must carry the SIM.
Banglalink SIM Ownership Transfer Fee
No fee will be applicable for transferring ownership of Banglalink SIM. There is no fee for delivery as it cannot be done online.
Banglalink SIM ownership change is completely free by visiting customer care. There is no charge to change the ownership of the deceased. You can go there for free and change SIM ownership.
Robi SIM Ownership Transfer Process
To change ownership of Robi SIM, both old and new owners of the SIM should contact the nearest Robi Customer Care or Bi-Metric Retail Point because there are no online-based rules for the ownership transfer process of Robi SIM.
Online Robi SIM ownership transfer process is not provided yet, but it is expected to be provided very soon. Therefore, to transfer ownership of Robi SIM, the current owner and the owner in whose name the transfer will be made must contact Robi Customer Care with the necessary documents.
Required Documents For Robi SIM Ownership Transfer
Like other SIMs, to change the ownership of Robi SIM, the current owner and the new owner need to provide some documents.
Changing SIM ownership will require National Identity Card information and the fingerprints of both owners. Also, both owners will be provided with a current mobile number to be contacted at any time.
Robi SIM Ownership Transfer Fee

Teletalk SIM Ownership Transfer Process
To change Teletalk SIM ownership, it must be done entirely offline. To do this, you must go to Teletalk customer care because there is no option to change Teletalk SIM ownership online.
For this, the current owner and the person whose name the transfer is to be made should go to customer care with the necessary documents.
One mobile number of both the owners and their nid card will be required along with the required documents. Also, one copy of a passport-size photograph may be required.
No charge will be applicable for changing ownership of Teletalk SIM. It can be changed ownership completely free.
